met jilyn for lunch today at Crystal Jade
before leaving for Goodwood Park for the Banquet job
i guess it was alright, just that one of the managers kept picking on me for some weird reason haha
didnt get a table in the end, they made me in charge of being a runner for the Muslim food so the entire night i was walking to and fro from the kitchen at the other end of the hotel and walking back for all the dishes

the girls there were nice, the guys were hmmm. friendly haha
was serving drinks when the guy whom i asked about the content of the drinks suddenly came to talk to me
his friend came and whispered something to him which i couldnt make out and the only words i heard were, "first time you also dont let go!"
ok nvm.
the guy in charge of the bar station also kept asking me questions instead of really working
he motioned me to smile while i was at a distance serving drinks haha
but i was smiling. really
i asked him for two glasses of brandy and he said "anything for you"
such a mighty flirt i swear haha

one of the girls i just met and chatted with had a headache halfway so i ended up helping her with her part as well
and when im not doing anything cos there's nothing to do, the manager will catch me doing nothing sigh

at least i got my first pay though
instant work instant pay (thumbs up!)

i missed my last bus home
so i ended up walking home
thankyou jil for accompanying me on the phone. that walk home took forever
i went to buy microwaved food as well

Almost, this year has come to a resounding end
it has been one hell of a rollercoaster ride for me

i learnt - that some things are just not meant to be. i learnt to let go. i got angry, disappointed but for all that, i realise it's just cos im just over-the-board concerned. ive been blatant, been cruel to a terrifying extent for me in terms of matters of the heart. at times i regret. but i overthrow the regrets

ive grown to understand how important Dance and Art are in my life. and that they stand on equal grounds and i dont have a biased liking to both of them no matter how hard i try to make a choice between them. it just tears me apart. i never should have to make a choice between them cos they will always be important on my life

stories of friendship - ive seen many, heard many, been through not-so-many but became a better person through these friendship stories ive pathed for myself. i miss a few. really love a few. grateful for some. and thankful for all. thankyou if you knew in your heart you ever stood by me this very year.

stalkers spoilt my year. A's destroyed it. but im glad i still survived them both nasty things

HATE is a word that's more comforting on the ears to me now when you really have experienced it for yourself. and for that, i dont know if i should thank you, you wicked soul. i still haven't forgiven you for anything you've done. cos even if the things you have done aren't directly juxtaposed at me, hurting one is like killing two birds in a stone. that's how i see it and for really stupid reasons you hurt people sometimes i cannot see eye to eye with. you think you're very great, but you really aren't. i really REALLY dont like you from the bottom of my heart. thankgod this year is over so coincidences won't be so coincidental anymore

2007 means a year of new people, and i dont think im really up for it. after not being in touch with strangers for so long, so much so i only know one-tenth of the entire SA population. but i think next year, i'll have more initiative towards new friendships, i hope.

on a rather random note,
i wonder how the person i spent two years ago counting down with, is doing now
is all well? is all fine? i really have no idea
but i have no intention to begin the talks we've had had. maybe cos i gave up so easily on us.

ive always wondered how i was able to give in so easily to that friendship and so willing to let everything go in a matter of time. my other friendships aren't like that. now i only keep the memories, i smile at them cos they're the sweetest. i want those memories back, but i dont exactly want the person back.

something's feeling wrong about me today, and i cant pinpoint exactly what is wrong
usually, when i have a headache, i'll pop a few panadols or when i have a stomachache, i'll eat the small black pills
i get those two very often, but today is different
it's almost as if my body functions are not working anymore or something
but not excruciatingly painful in any way
this is terribly annoying

so ive been napping on the couch the entire day
woke up at 130pm to pack my room so my mom could mop the floor and i went back to bed at 2 plus, all the way till 6pm before i had lunch at 630pm
okay erase that. make that dinner

i got to pack for Genting later before i go back to bed again
will only be home on the 30th

stayed up till 6am completing my dad's christmas gift and i didnt get a word of 'THANKYOU' at all
just more making-fun-of-me, saying-things-to-annoy-me
on days like these, they really do irritate me although im mostly kind of used to it
still, a thankyou would suffice
and i wish he would stop calling me names and doing stuff on purpose to annoy me though i think it gives him great kicks to do so

that fella finally replied my sms today
i let out a smile that i feel, is more than enough to smile about anything concerning him
but im still really happy.

this year's Christmas wasnt exactly that fantastic. More so, boring. well, but you cant expect every year to be always that chrismassy anyway (:

you'll probably be receiving your letters soon i hope
i rushed out so many before rushing down to my grandma's place
and the food was GOOD!

ended up celebrating jedrek's birthday with the kids and playing mahjong thereafter, which i didnt win nor lose
and also, caught Love Actually once again (i never get sick of that show)

before i start, i wanna shoutout

i went ice-skating today with L after god knows how long
i think the last time i went there was with shiru, kel and koonann

today was fun (:
we didnt fall down, not once!
and i thought he really forgot how to skate or something, CHEH.
nevertheless, i still remember how to skate backwards
but having the habit of not looking backwards when i do that so i kept bumping into people
and little kids who kept terrorising the rink cos we were so afraid we'll bump into them or something

we went to pizzahut for lunch after that and chatted above food a hell lot
dont worry L, i wont get cheated in KL this time Haha
and yes we went to the arcade after that and ONE DAY
im gonna beat you at daytona ok
i almost did anyway haha

went to Millenia Walk later for an interview
before that i passed by BillyBombers and the person at the door kept looking at me cos i was on tiptoe and searching high and low for KOH NGIAP HONG who looked damn lost on his first day of work for basically any kind of work ever haha
the interview went alright
it wasnt even an interview to begin with but the manager seemed damn interested in my life somehow
do most managers ask you about your dad's job, your mom's job, how many siblings you have, which school your brother is schooling at yadayada?
he said he needed strong people
and when i said i was from dance, he gave me that super SKEPTICAL look
i had no choice but to boost my reputation up by saying i used to be from track (which was so long ago?), from swim, did rock-climbing as a sport blahblah just to erase his skeptical look (which really did!) wow.
but most people who know me will know im rather strong lar ok
especially those who refer to me as a guy instead of a girl haha

my christmas cards are super lagging
im just being lazy

25th: christmas itself (okay might be free for a while)

we went to pastacafe for lunch and when we walked out,

literally, her words were all joined together.
i was like, what? whattt? before it finally hit me that it's actually thankyou, bye.

have i mentioned how small this world is?
well it is when Boy A wants to have a fistfight with Boy B. Boy B knows Girl C and is quite close to her. Boy A just broke up with Girl C. Boy A went to tell Girl D if she knew Boy B. Boy B and Girl D are schoolmates. and the craziest thing is. Boy A used to be together with Girl D.

to wheelock, met a few friends and back to heeren (which i havent gone there in months can you believe it)
we were so bored we walked all the way to cine to check the movie timings
it was 805pm already by the way and we saw 'A Night at the Museum' previewing at 8pm so we decided to catch it
the freaking lift wasnt moving so we WALKED up to get tickets haha
we were so rushing

turned out we didnt have enough cash on us and the stupid counter didnt accept nets so i had to go all the way to the basement to withdraw money for us
then jon came down and we decided not to catch the movie HAHAHA
after all that trouble

we went to BK to stone
town's so boring! there's like nothing to do
then we decided to get cheese fries at kfc so we walked next door and it was fully packed!
so we walked next door once more and i decided to eat chawanmushi
i can eat chawanmushi with chopsticks! wow

5:27am and it's STILL raining. wow
anyway this will be a quick one before my dad wakes up and screams at me

so ends up the timing for dance got pushed back so i ended up at ny around 2pm
and they didnt barrework cos they were practising for syf
but i still got changed and tried to regain back my flexibility and strength in jumps
im so scared that in 10 years time, i cant dance anymore
i cant imagine my life without dance

the juniors are way flexible! like seriously. i was so damn impressed
and i met a few of the dancers from my batch which was great (:
nat and i were the only ones jumping around in the studio haha

went to have dinner at food republic with charmaine and yingying
before going down to vivo to catch 'The Holiday' with cais and jac
we were only left with front row tickets and it was my first time catching a movie at vivo
the theatre's pretty small and the seats are damn stiff
sitting at the front row, bout 5feet away from the screen is no joke man
my neck and back hurts cos i was slouching so much - very bad for posture (and what was it bout me talking bout dancing till im 30 man! haha)

i love olivia and sophie, so adorable <3
and the movie was pretty nice
i teared quite abit, but staring UP at the screen made all my tears flow back so it wasnt such a teary affair for me i guess
but i liked it
it's a very feel-good, OMG-i-relate-to-every-single-thing-she's-saying and that-person-reminds-me-of-someone movie
well, at least for me

and i dont understand why my mom never finds the need or effort to take a 3min walk to the busstop with an umbrella so that she could shelter me home
isnt it quite nice for a mom to do such a thing? i dont know
so i always either end up running home in the rain, or in today's circumstance, since the rain was too heavy,
i took the loop bus so the bus would end on the side of my estate so i do not need to cross the road

today was lovely <3

Lunch at Brewerkz with the dancers.
i woke up erm, LATE, as usual again. i think the handphone works more wonders than the stupid alarm clock. i never understand why
so i quickly took a shower and went down to the main road to flag a cab
i freaking stood there for 40min! and none of the cabs are available
besides, people who came later than me snatched my cabs and i got so irritated

i ended up walking all the way home to change into my birks cos my freaking red heels were killing me
i hate that pair! ):
and when i came down, i immediately got myself a cab that's turning out into the main road.
can you even imagine the agony!
and weiliang who left home the same time as me (but took the train instead), reached there even before i got on the cab. MORE AGONY MORE AGONY haha

still got there anyhow and we all couldnt finish our portions
their burgers were all huge-ass HUGE
charlotte went to paper-marche her glass haha and it poured so heavily today we were stuck at Brewerkz for quite a while till char's bf came to the rescue

we ended up heading off to Marina Square for KBOX
and the rates were so delightful! (:

i reckon bangkok sapped away too much of my energy in shopping.
i was just being nat's and shi's cheperon for today. but just walking with them makes me tired. my stamina is weak
i better start exercising HAHA
going back to NY to do barre work with the juniors and some from my batch next monday

today was supposedly a bad day
cos i forgot to bring money out. i kid you not
i only brought enough coins for my ticket fare back home
and i couldnt get out of bugis's interchange cos my Giro had some problem
apparently my mom was having some problems with her bank account a few days ago so it disrupted the entire Giro system

i called my mom to ask her if there was anything wrong with the giro while i was at The Edge
and she started screaming without even thinking hahaha
i got rather irritated cos she's always like that
at the end of the conversation i was like: 'mommy, i only wanted to ask you if there was a problem'
she insisted there wasnt and called me a few hours later to say there actually is a problem
well, at least now she knows what the problem is

and guess we can only meet next year, which is really sad

practically squeezing my way through for the first half an hour

(and before that she was talking bout how the guy who sang 'leaving on a jetplane' really died in a jetplane crash or something) YARH. people like Osama and Bin Laden still alive!"

while approaching home, we saw a cat walking across the road

in the end, we halted and allowed the cat to skip across the road before driving on. how amusing!

and turns out the day didnt went too well cos of food poisoning
hope things are better today

i just did the most ridiculous thing in my life - to reread my friendster testimonials
and some of them are so funny, especially the really long ago ones

Departed and arrived back in Singapore safely. 5 days and 4 nights of laughter, fun, tension and bonding rounded up into one.

my mom drove jil and i to the Airport bright on early on the first day and we checked in at the airport.
Char slotted her credit card into a machine that says 'please remove card' and was obviously stuck, but she still did it anyhow haha
waved to the mothers who were waving back frantically outside the glass panels

we touched down at bangkok's airport soon after
i didnt even managed to finish watching My SuperEx Girlfriend and Me on the plane haha
bangkok's airport is really nice now
furnished in glass and complicated yet organised designs
much much better than it was when i was there last year
speaking of which, i went to BK exactly from the 8th to 12th last year as well
how coincidental!

first day was quite a boo-boo
there was quite alot of disruptions with the hotels cos there were too many hotels with the same name
there was like
The Grand Diamond Hotel
The Grand Hotel
The Diamond Hotel (i think)
and so on...

and so we realised we weren't booked into the hotel that was near town
but in some other hotel which was quite close to the airport instead
which was really quite silly to make a detour to
so we ended up spending the first day shopping at Platinum which was really cool
they had wholesale prices and paying for stuff that's nearly a fraction of the price of that you get in Singapore just spells JOY
shopping had never been so fun
you pay S$10 for 3 henleys and S$8 for a pair of heels
HOW COOL IS THAT.

after that we managed to safely check ourselves into The Grand Hotel which was not so bad after all
i bunked in with char and jil
and we ordered room service food that night with Bacardi and Beer and chips and it was so cheap it's unbelievable!

(2nd Day)

we headed off to Chatuchak market in the morning.
it was extremely crowded and the entire day, i was terrorised with being accident-prone
char stepped on me a few times, someone poked me i think
and at the same store selling shoes (which was so badly located!), the shopkeeper dropped a pair of shoes on me and the Freaking Heel hit my head
and while waiting for them to choose their shoes, i was standing at the corner and suddenly this baby, of whom a dad was carrying, scratched me in my face HAHA
crap i dont know whether to laugh or cry

there were picpockets around as well, undeniable in a place so crowded
someone slashed corinne's bag and stole her purse. luckily, it didnt contain much and she got herself a new bag haha

Robinsons at night for lingerie shopping and cheap thai fast food
we did some carrefour shopping as well where we bought alot of munchies
char went to get extended eye-lashes as well which was so cheap there
it was so long she could no longer wear her sunglasses haha
and the taxi driver we hailed to get us back to our hotel was ILLITERATE!
he couldnt read the small little card which we obtained from the hotel which says 'please send me to here' (in thai) and he still couldnt understand
we ended up having to point and giving him directions to our hotel and he was driving so slowly cos he was scared
quite ridiculous man haha

the weird thing was
after a few days in bangkok, we realised that everyone doesnt recognise 'The Grand Hotel' but recognises 'Poseidon' (pronounced as poseedon) which was the building located directly opposite our hotel
and everytime we say 'poseidon', all the taxi-drivers will start giggling
we even went as much as to keep repeating that word to check out the reaction of the taxi-drivers!
turns out i realised there was a neon sign outside that place which says 'massage and entertainment' and yes, probably some not so high-end yellow district area or something
a few blocks down, there's a place called SHASHA with a huge marilyn monroe poster pasted up and it says 'party massage'
how kinky

we learnt from there and from then onwards, we just kept repeating poseidon opposite instead of the grand to get back to our hotel
the taxi drivers or probably the people at the mrt station must think we are going there to get some entertainment or something

(3rd day)

Chinatown in the morning
we had to push our way through the crowd which was really frustrating
but that place is filled with loads of accessories! i spent a bomb on them!

headed off to MBK thereafter and indulged in 199s after 199s
MBK's the best place to get shoes and bags cos they're all 199! which is almost equivalent to S$8

midway, we got separated from co and mom so we ended up searching the entire complex for them
we even made announcements through the information counter nearly 8 times haha
and hearing co's name ring through the entire shopping center
for your info, MBK is HUGEEEEEEEEEE.
we found them eventually and did more shopping thereafter

met up with char's brother for dinner
he brought us to this really nice seafood restaurant for dinner where you get to shop for your own ingredients and choose the way in which you want your food to be cooked
im probably the only weirdo who cant have a proper meal without rice
food was great though

(4th day)

we went to pratunam market and the area surrounding it
before walking to siam square where we went for foot massage, back/shoulder massage and char got a manicure
i love massagesssssssss haha!
we also had dinner at Ninth Cafe at Siam Paragon which was hugeeeee
said to be the 2nd largest shopping center in SEA
and probably about 4 times larger than the Paragon in Singapore
we caught Deja Vu there as well where the theatre was so damn bloody hugeeeee
dejavu was GOOD!

i got a headache in the midst of the movie for god knows what reason
so ive been feeling a little queasy after that and it sucks that i didnt bring out my panadol with me
im too reliant on panadols for my headaches and it's bad i know
there was this very nice person who even wanted to offer me help when he saw the state im in

we took the skytrain and MRT back to our hotel
initially wanted to check out the night market but we realised we weren't in the right direction so we gave up searching
besides, 3 girls out in bangkok at night isnt exactly very safe to begin with haha
felt so much better back in the hotel after my pills taken

(5th day)

went back to platinum and pratunam for some last minute shopping before we headed back to the hotel to check out and made our way back to Singapore via SQ
i met Athena at Caramel and Fudge where we had coolio ice-creams which was too much for us to take
i farted on the plane and char and jil cannot stop complaining about it HAHA
it's the cake on the plane lar i tell you.

FINALLY, HOME SWEET HOME <3
i felt so happy to be back homeeeeeee
and 5 days is too long! should keep it shorter next time

but it was definitely an experience
to be abroad for the first time without my parents
and to be bunking in with char and jil (whom im very thankful of)
chatting till 2ams and the odds with bitching and gossipping

this trip made me cherish home as well
my family and for once, i actually miss my mom's nagging
i called her one night, and in 5min she reiterated the things she wanted to say - twice, in that short span of time

so many things unsaid behind closed doors, the trip made me more independent
travelling with close friends is always a PLUSPLUS

i bought a shitload of stuff as well!
to last me through christmas and chinese new year and some for you guys
no more shopping for me till the next genting trip!

it was pretty tasty i must say

i'll mend this, somehow
im beginning to feel like as if ive lost two of my favourite friends last year

i swear i date people or meetup with friends on an impromptu basis
i woke up late today
was supposed to meet jon for lunch at 1pm, of which it was a 5min spur of the moment before i went to bed
in the end, he called at 1 and that call woke me up instead haha
so we decided to meetup for dinner instead cos he went all the way to Ikea @ tampines to shop for furniture

nothing to do so a few calls here and there before i went down to meet my classmates at brasbasah
met pamela who was there to sell her 2nd hand textbooks (i should be doing that soon)

i had nothing to do cos i was waiting for jon so i decided to accompany the other two in search of a present for hoeguan
we walked all the way to marina and kept walking here and there haha

we were walking towards an escalator and suddenly this guy from behind shoved past my shoulder to try and get past me
i was kinda irritated but i decided to let it go
jon was giving me that 'are you okay?' look and we JUST happened to touch on the topic of people shoving each other in CLUBS to try and get through the dancefloor
we weren't even talking bout HIM and he was quite far away
and i dont know why he got the idea we were talking about him, he suddenly came up to me and said: "so you not happy i squeeze you lar" in extremely bad English
and we didnt want any trouble so we laid our hands off the matter and walked away and kinda laughed at how ridiculous it was
apparently, he thought it WASNT funny and turned back to walk towards us again and BLOODY HELL had the CHEEK to kick JON before walking away again (i can sooooooooo kick his ass right on the spot i tell you!)
before we step into Prints, i sorta gave him a stare. i swear i could see he wanted to charge right back at me to slap my face. but he didnt
but thats what you get for messing with my friend. CRAZY FELLA.

I went to town to meet Nat today while everyone else were preparing for prom
we went to have pasta at PastaCafe which made me feel really bloated cos their portions are quite huge
and we talked alot

met Grace at Hollywood Secrets with her makeup done

i havent met her in AGES.
nat and i couldnt recognise her cos she looked damn different in her makeup haha
SA and RJ are flooding the streets today
and we only went window-shopping cos AH BANGKOK IN 2 DAYS and omg i havent packed

we saw this girl with a really sexy back and tattoo to boot! (as you can see from the photos)
and nat thinks that milk tea store looks like my home (?!!) haha
today was alot of walking around, chatting and eating haha

jil cais jan jac came over for a sleepover on Sunday
and now that they've left and ive tidied up the living room (which was in a mess cos there were cushions everywhere haha),
i actually realise, my room is after all, QUITE CLEAN haha.
well just that i havent seen it so clean in such a long time

jil the lazy girl took a cab over to my place
and we went down to rent vcds after the other two arrived
my mom ordered pizza in HEE (:
we didnt sleep till like 7am in the morning cos we went on a vcd marathon and some card games in between + hair-styling/nail-polish sessions HAHA
they tried to curl my hair but my rebonded hair is apparently extremely stubborn
the curls didnt even last for 1/2 an hour
oh we caught 'in her shoes' while having dinner and later watched 'phantom of the opera'
and 'ice princess' later on before catching 'the red shoes'
the stupid ghost story is damn stupid i tell you
they all got so bored i was the last one left watching so i could tell them the ending - which i dont exactly get as while cos it's damn ridiculous
and i was staring at the screen and suddenly some head filled with blood popped out and i nearly wanted to burst out laughing
anyway it was just another psycopath woman trying to kill everyone cos of stupid jealousy and some pair of red shoes she wanted to snatch away
then we lounged on my couch and laughed at the weirdest thing
my dad woke up at 530am and we all chirped GOOD MORNING to him. i bet he's gonna come home tonight and tell me how freaked out he was to have 4 crazy teenage girls chirping good morning to him HAHAHHA. wanna bet wanna bet!

kfc for lunch and 'into the blue' and can you believe we actually watched CARTOONS!?!
i havent watched cartoons in agessssssss haha.
and we caught BARBIE in the 12 dancing princesses OMGGGG ahhahaa

i really hope i can chant that packing spell from Harry Potter right now
packing is like NEVERENDING in my room.
i swear if you step into my room, and think it's probably still messy - HOHO it's supposedly in its much neater state already
okay maybe im just exaggerating but the wardrobe is just URGHHHH.
i wish i could just shove everything inside and close the walk-in wardrobe doors and pretend like everything's sparkling clean man

for helping me to collect the dvds.
and it was nice of him and his friend to accompany me for lunch cos by the time i met him, they were about finishing lunch

OH. and i just finish watching the dvd and i have a few first-hand trivia haha
01. the quality is erm quite bad, but at least i can still view the dance
02. the photographer cant shoot for nuts! he did closeups which is okay... but at the end of dewi's dance, he turned the camera and VIDEOD THE AUDIENCEEEEE. i was like WTHHH. what is he trying to do man hahaha. (maybe his friend was sitting there and he was trying to get a view of his friend or something)
03. see-ing myself bring in the umbrella does look kinda stupid, but i guess it was an 'alright' kind of stupid
04. co's item got totally cut off at the first part. it only started when everybody started to mutter 'xiaoyu xiaoyu' which was kinda zzzzz.
05. first time i saw Bjork FULL. i thought nat looked pretty damn good in it gosh
06. and i still think the petite girl from tjc (michelle?) is pretty good as well. i mean, the only person i was looking at throughout the entire dance was her. and it's not a follow through look. like when i only realised it was her after i zoomed in on a person at one sequence
07. FIRST TIME SEE-ING ZAKI DANCE (:
08. i cannot CANNOT help laughing at some parts throughout the entire concert. coughhhmusacoughhh. HAHA. i watched for 2 seconds and started laughing so i called him up to tell him im laughing at him HAHAHA. jkjk lar :p
09. at the ending of the teachers' item, they were crawling like at the end/tip of the stage and the stage is like freaking extremely close to the audience. so the guy who was sitting infront was having a ball of a good time laughing HAHAHA.

so anyway, went to shop around at bugis

and i only went to the 2nd level of bugis street and busted like $70 there already. wonderful

kerx saved me from more money departure by calling me
so i went down to vivo to meet her
and i finally went on my trip around vivo, of which i didnt even finish conquering the 1st level. only the 2nd

i got myself a job (:
thats if i get through the interview lar. but the manager was so damn nice
although the pay kinda sucks but i cant wait. my post-A's dream job

jan's 19th birthday

so we celebrated jan's birthday at vivocity today
and im so outdated it's the first time im stepping into that huge shopping mall
anyway, i made her this glassball thingum with black glitter, and my dad and even I, am irritated. cos there's glitter ALL OVER THE FLOOR and i dont have a vacuum at home ):
or i do have one, but it's missing for ages.

we had a relatively short dinner (as in we ate damn fast today OR the portion was damn small) at WHITE DOG CAFE
and im secretly happy cos ive been wanting creamy pasta for AGES. (:

oh i threw rose petals on jan's seat before she arrived and jil subsequently placed those petals on our cutlery plates

they didnt allowed us to have the cake consumed there, so we made our way to vivomart to get plastic forks before heading up to the rooftop garden to cut the cake
the people nearby joined along as well to the 'happy birthday' song

so old so old.
in positively 2 months time, im gonna be 19 soon. im growing old.
and a few days ago, i was scrolling through the future dates in my phone and i realised K's gonna be 20 next year
i was just seriously overwhelmed by the digit '2'
feels like we've been through decades
